Software-update: Universal USB Installer 2.0.3.7 Versie 2.0.3.7 van Universal USB Installer is uitgekomen. Met dit Windows-programma kunnen de installatie-iso's van een groot aantal Linux-distributies op een USB-stick geplaatst worden. Daardoor hoeven ze niet meer eerst op een cd of dvd gebrand te worden; de installatie kan vanaf de zelfstartende USB-stick worden uitgevoerd.
Ondersteuning is aanwezig voor een groot aantal distributies, van de bekendste tot enkele zeer obscure. Ook kan een gedeelte van de USB-stick als persistent storage worden ingericht, waarin wijzigingen en persoonlijke bestanden opgeslagen kunnen worden, wat normaal gesproken niet mogelijk is bij een live-cd.
Sinds versie 2.0.3.4 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen doorgevoerd:Universal-USB-Installer-2.0.3.7: Expanded the distro and tool catalog with additional popular Linux ISO entries. Updated several distro homepage and download links, including Ubuntu Unity, Garuda Linux, Arch Linux, Fedora, Manjaro, and SystemRescue.
Fixed: ISOs added via drag and drop (or manually copied to the drive) are now listed in the removal dropdown alongside normally installed distros. Universal-USB-Installer-2.0.3.6: Fixed volume label never being set after disk preparation. Fixed selected disk not being restored when returning to the drive selection page after preparation.
Universal-USB-Installer-2.0.3.5: Updated to use Ventoy 1.1.12 bootloader, addressing the following upstream issues: Ubuntu 24.04.4 install failure. VirtualBox UEFI display issue when booting Windows. UEFI boot Windows/WinPE resolution issue. Oracle Linux 6.9 install issue.
