Eight supporters of SK Beveren have been sentenced by the Dendermonde court for violence that broke out after a football match on 5 October 2024. The court imposed work penalties and stadium bans of up to eight years.

The incident occurred after the derby between SK Beveren and Lokeren-Temse at the Freethielstadion. A large group of Beveren supporters gathered at the intersection of Lindenlaan and Klapperstraat in Beveren, seeking confrontation with opposing fans. Police had positioned themselves to prevent clashes, but the crowd turned on officers, pelting them with stones, street furniture, and traffic signs.

Eight perpetrators were identified through video footage shown in court. The prosecutor had called for sentences of ten months to two years and stadium bans of five to ten years, arguing the men showed no respect for the law and ruined the atmosphere for other fans. The defendants contested the footage, but the court found them guilty.
